[C320-list] Engine and Reefing Questions

Hi Mike,

Sounds as though your problem worked itself out.  Just keep an eye on it the
next time you go out.  My Temp. has always read a steady 160.  I'm sure the
gauge is off.

As fas as reefing.  I've found through the years regardless of the point of
sail with the main and a 150 Jenny that 22 Kts. apparent more often than not
is the last chance to reef before things get ugly.  The question is "reef
what?".  Up wind when I HAVE to point I will reef the main to keep the
airflow smooth over the Jenny to allow me to take advantage of the apparent
wind to point higher.  If I'm out just bumping around and not worried about
pointing I will reef the Jenny.  Just because it's easier and accomplishes
the same objective.
