Orlando,
I have the Honda 2000 generator and found that it did not fit in the
starboard lazarette.I  store mine in the large port lazaratte. While the
Honda 1000 will probably fit in aft storage, it is much less useful, i.e.,
can not make hot water, minimal power for hair dryer, etc. I find the Honda
2000 will simultaneously charge batteries,  make hot water and have some
reserve power for low draw 110 appliances. The generator may also eliminate
the need for a separate starting battery.

You can store it in the aft starboard lazarette, on the shelf...just
install some straps
