  Charles Walsh,
As indicated last week, I have some of the information I promised. A-B has apparently been bought out by WAECO.
Go to WAECO/ADLER-BARBOUR on the internet, then you can find mucho information.
The 800 number I have does not go to A-B anymore; however, the two U.S. repair locations are 1) Alabama (251) 476-1444 and 2) Arizona (623) 847-1747.
In the past, the technical help from A-B has been much more than helpful. Hope the buy out by WAECO has not changed things.
Good Luck, Kenneth Cathey, OBUOY #219

  > Thanks for that info. The unit was last charged in July 2005 and was OK until this month. It probably has a very slow leak which I will investigate this fall. I would like to recharge for now. I can't find the A-B website. Do you know what it is or have the 800 number? Thanks.

If over a long time, then you can evacuate the system and re-charge.BUT, if a quick loss, then the leak must be found and repaired first atherwise the new charge will leak out too.

In my area it is difficult to find anybody to work on boat refrigeration so I was wondering has anyone ever picked up a recharging kit from an auto supply store that will work on this unit. The unit probably originally came charged with R-12. Thanks for any info.
