[C320-list] SLOOOW EMAIL

Hi All,

  The website has been getting some hardware upgrades, and the email server
was replaced (along with software updates).  It was started mid-last week,
and different phases of the project have been underway ever since.

Hopefully little or no email has been lost, but delivery may be delayed here
and there.  When I hear that the job has been completed, we'll start looking
to see what delivery times end up being.

Do feel free to let me know of emails that take more than a couple hours to
deliver.  

Note that the email list server is relaying your c320-list email to roughly
350 people and it is relayed in batches on a schedule, not all at once like
when you send email personally.  Also, we (unfortunately) share this email
server with about a two hundred other discussion lists, so occasionally
there will be hiccups.  We're working to minimize that however.

I sent an email response  to a message today at 11:38 and it is almost 2 
hours later and it has not made it through the system.  Are we spoiled or 
what.   Imagine 10-15 years ago sending a letter and waiting a week for it 
to go through the system  to get a reply.
But I want it now.
