Not enough time to rig a preventer that is why I call myself a dead 
down wind expert, as you have to stay in front of the shifts. It's on 
a lake and I have to tack in maybe 10 minutes as it is a very crooked 
lake. Look up Lake Travis in Texas, some sails are 6-7 miles by water 
or 1 mile over land. You learn to play shifts and the bluffs. This is 
not at all like ocean sailing.
