My ducky floats upright too! :)

A well designed, empty boat, will float upright yes...and therein lies the rub on the 320...if you were to take out some of the eqpt that makes it the great 'bang for the buck' that is, it would sit upright also.

Problem is, we like 4D Batteries (2), we like a starter battery too, we like a lot of water tankage, a big holding tank...etc

Yes, I admit it! I'm not a boat designer--but wouldn't a tendency to lean to one side mean that there would be a bit more resistance in leaning to the other side? Doesn't that affect any performance on one side relative to the other? (As I said, I don't know boat design, but I'm guessing that since it came up at the last rendezvous I'm not the only one who asked. I'm not trying to start a thing about what seems to be old news here. Just thought that unloaded boats floated upright. They did in my bathtub... )

Bill,

I agree with the 'get over it' comment..that anyone would think it's a
'design flaw' is due to not understanding boat design...the way to get rid
of it is to put everything in the middle of the boat--batteries, water
tanks, inverters, holding tanks..
