[C320-list] Sound Reducing Paint Reports?

Herb,

I couldn't agree more. In the 12 years I owned cl 2, with the Perkins, I never, ever gave it a second thought.

My opinion has always been that I like listening to the engine 'naked' because that way I have a better read on engine performance. As you get used to the boat, you have an understanding of the engine is running by getting used to the sound (s) it makes.

The slightest change in pitch, sound, I knew something was not right and could start the trouble shooting process.

My bitch about my 440 is that the engine is so well insulated and so far down in the bilge that I can barely hear it!

Over and over I see these comments about noise reduction, I just don't get it. What's the phrase, oh I think it's "get a life." I have never since I have owned this boat ( eight seasons) cared about engine noise. I love this list but just don't get this issue, I think it's a Non! What an anal issue. Why don't we talk instead about port list, or PHRF, or dripless seals, or wait a minite I think there is another inane issue. Sorry, I couldn't help it.
Sincerely,
