Very well thanks Adam. I've been lurking on the list and enjoying reading
all the very useful emails.

Annie, so wonderful to hear from you again on the list. We haven't seen you
for awhile. How are you?

We've had a flat screen tv on Topcat for 2 years. The brand is called
Majestic. I don't use it very often but when I do people are very impressed
by the quality of the picture and the aerials mounted on the top of the mast
give great reception.

All T.V. 320 owners,
With the demise of analog signals for tv's, we decided to replace our
trusted color set, purchased new at the time of delivery of hull number 219,
with a new digital set flat screen. I especially enjoyed John Frost's
information concerning his set.
When we went to the big box showroom to purchase the set--we were told in
no uncertain terms that the warrantee would be void if we installed the set
in a boat!! We asked why, and were told that the marine environment is
death to all the new sets available today--I explained that our current set
had been in operation since 1994 and still worked fine--He said he had
several customers who installed new sets and the picture "tube" died in less
than a year.

I find this strange, but would appreciate any 'real life' experience from
folk who have had either "flat" or even "plasma" screens in their boats for
over a year--other boats in our marina have 'new' sets but have not
complained about premature deaths. Our sales person recommended only a
specific tv designed for marine environments, which he did not sell--so I
suppose he was not a "bait and switch" person.

Since we have until next Feburary, if someone has a problem in a couple of
months, I would appreciate knowing about it. We keep the boat at Lake
Texoma, halfway between OKLA. CITY and DALLAS.
Thanks in advance, Ken Cathey, OBUOY #219

Sorry, Bill...my memory fails me on that one. I do remember that it was
difficult to judge the brackets in their packaging. The one I kept has good
friction elements on the hinges that you can set as tight as you like with
an Allen wrench. I think that is important. So is robustness and folding
very flat. The big boxes don't seem to mind me trying a few out.

As long as we're asking you about model numbers, can you provide make/model
of the mount you chose too? It seems like a good find.

It was a Panasonic "HD Widescreen LCD TV/DVD Combo" Model 1513-TDXB
Circuit City has it for $240.

It fit like a glove and left a little room on the shelf below for
miscellaneous things. I'll send a picture to Jerry and Irving.

Hi John

I am also looking to outfit a MKII with a small flat screen in the same
location. What model Panasonic is it?

Thanks
