[C320-list] Raritan PHII Question

For those of you who have replaced your stock Jabsco head-was the length of
the outlet hose the same as for the Jabsco? I have to replace my macerator
in the next week or so (I'm avoiding this project) and will go ahead and
replace the hose with the Trident 101/102 which Peggie Hall claims is the
best of the white stuff. Even though the Jabsco  works fine, it is 9 years
old and I'm thinking of replacing it-either with the same Jabsco or the
PHII. If I choose to do the Raritan upgrade after I upgrade the hose  I'm
wondering if I will have to deal with the hose again?

 

Also, I would appreciate any additional insight as to why the PHII is so
favorable to those that went this route. I know there were a few posts on
the reader reviews at WM that claimed the base gasket has a history of
leaking-any insight would be appreciated!
