Hi Tim

You would be surprised at the amount of wires you can squeeze up
through the pedestal post. The port side on my boat had lots of wires
running into the post. The starboard side was not used. I had to drill
a hole at the bottom of the starboard side post to get the wires
through. I was able to fit a remote Mic cable a GPS antenna cable and
2 pairs of power wires up through the pipe. There is still a little
room but it would be tight I have not neen a radar cable but I would
not thing its much bigger than the remote Mic cable that I ran. The
trick is to get an electrical snake to run down the pipe, than attach
a heavy duty nylon sting and pull the string back up. Now attach the
radar cable to the string and pull it up. Use Black tape to attach the
string to the radar cable and wrap it tightly around the cable. Sorry
I do not have any pictures.

Good Luck

> Hi - spring project this year is a radar install, and I'm in process of determining the cable routing to the navpod on the pedastal. Seems like there is not enough room in the guards for the cable. Can this be run thru the pedastal? Has anyone done this and can u send photos? Other options?
