Don't you think the lowering of the RPM's was due to the clogged Elbow? Mine
was 95% clogged. Surprised the engine even ran as well as it did.

Jon,
No the original prop is OK.? It had the AP on for 300-350 hours.? I took it
off for the trip to Abacos because it seemed to be lowering the rpms more
and more.? I did find it to be fairly dirty when the diver removed it.? I
know it is the wrong pitch.? AP not offers two choices for the C320.? When I
bought it there was only one.
What are they doing for you?? I would like to use it again if I can get it
right.
Gil

Gil,

I also have an AP and I have arranged for AB Marine to take out some pitch.
Although these are self pitching, they still can be adjusted--it sounds like
you are having a pitch problem with your original prop however??

Just had to replace my mixing valve elbow.? It was 75% clogged.? I showed it
to the technician at the Yanmar dealer and he immediately said I was over
pitched.? I did not tell him anything about having a prop other than
standard,? The engine was running perfect for two weeks in the Abacos.? As
we started to cross the Gulfstream to come home I could only get 2800 rpms.?
Before the trip I had changed back to the original prop that would give me
3600 rpms.? It happened very suddenly.? My engine has 985 hours.? FYI.....
