Well, OD, I wish you'd tell that to Aeolus, the (Greek) God of the Wind, as
here on the Chesapeake the prevailing wind is from the So., and since the
Bay has a decided N-S orientation, we are forced to do more than our share
of motor sailing. And, considering that half the time the tide is against
us, the objective of a positive VMG often frustrates. At 60+, I no longer
can afford the time it takes to reach a mark with VMG less than 50% of SOG.
But, then, you have sailed here on the Chesapeake.

Remember, when it comes to fixed-bladed props it's not the speed under power
that's important it's the speed under sail that counts...remember, a 320 is
primarily a sail boat... :)
