Susan,
You know you can leave your gPS at the helm an still have it connected to the radio. Not only is it useful in case of emergency but it is really convenient when you are charting your course to get your lat/lon at the helm.

Subject: [C320-list] dsc radio/gps
No matter how many gps dealers I email, no one answers, maybe someone here would know:
I have a Garmin 276c in the cockpit, and would like to get a backup gps to attach to my icom 604 radio in the cabin. Is there something out there that is inexpensive and able to be installed inside, will I have to get separate antenna and drill thru anthing to get reception? I don't care about having another chartplotter (someday the 276 can be the backup), just something that will spit out position to me and the radio.
Thanks,
Susan
