The boom is pretty simple to run lines through. The fish-tape should work
fine.

There are no specific tubes or channels inside the boom for running lines,
so it's not a big deal to move a line over to another shiev. I used needle
nose pliers to change where the line exits.

When I bought Tesoro last October, the reef line was not run through the
boom, rendering it somewhat less useful than I'd like. My thought was to
use an electrician's fish-tape, which shouldn't be terribly difficult, but I
am wondering if I'm missing something entirely. There was a nylon string
running through the boom, but it seemed to be in the "wrong" track and I
can't see an easy way to move it over where I need it.

Thanks in advance,
