[C320-list] Chesapeake Regatta

Well, 

   A number of people have been involved in "the hunt" for a location and
the planning for activities.
While I *should* know most of the details, but I haven't been paying enough
attention yet. :(

What I do know is that at a minimum, the following people have been hard at
work pulling together the event.

* Warren & Patti Updike
* Bruce & Norma Stump
* Karl developed the Regatta Survey and filtered the member's email
addresses from the Mainsheet membership database.  The association has a
free non-profit account at QuestionPro for managing and distributing our
surveys.

Warren & Bruce (and spouses) are working with our commodore Karl
Mielenhausen to prepare a schedule of activities, arrange for hotel offers,
dinners, etc., but the most of it is still in the study phase.

I'd suggest if anyone has ideas of events, seminars, or other things that
would cause people to want to attend, please let them know.

Regarding the Regatta Survey, you've been hearing about,  we discovered that
for some unknown reason, anyone with an "@Comcast.net" email address had
their survey notice bounced courtesy of Comcast.  I'm working around that
and will try another approach to getting this survey to Comcast people
shortly.

The survey went out to: 372 people
76 of them bounced (36 of them were comcast.net addresses, and a dozen have
obvious typos)
84 people took the survey
193 have yet to respond

We'll get it ironed out and hopefully get more responses.
