Thank you Dave! This full keel for a bluewater boat is such horse s%$t...

Speed to get you to other locations quickly is the deal....although I absolutely love sailing I will much rather get to the Marquesas in 19 instead of 23 days. Matter of fact, the C440, Dirigo, did just that last spring from Puerto Vallarta to Marquesas, out of about 30 boats listed in Latitude 38, it was the 2nd fastest boat across...he did it safely, even while encountering an early season storm and he did it comfortably..

Subject: [C320-list] Full-Length Keels

Guys, with due and proper respect to all opinions, this idea that blue-water
boats are generally full-length-keel is SO 1975. The Atlantic Rally for
Cruisers finished in St. Lucia just before Christmas. Over 250 boats sailed
over from the Canary Islands, crews including some good friends of mine. I
guarantee you that not more than 25% of these boats had full-length keels.
What they did have was modern, capable autohelms.
