Many of the boats have the speakers built into the 2 stern lazarettes, as  
shown in the corner of this picture:

Very easy to wire and install as you won't have to be pulling wires  
through the tubes.
You will want an outdoor or marine-grade speaker (ie. poly cone).
Mine is 5" but you may be able to go slightly larger.
