[C320-list] New Engine Mounts

Maritn I think your on the right track to shift below 1000. I simply drop
the RPM, select the new gear and quickly power up. It takes a little
practice. I like to shift around 900 rpm, it shifts smoother there.

Plus I have a new ZF 6 gearbox, which can take a lot more abuse than the
older Hurth 50's that came on our older boats. The ZF technician noticed the
Perkins rattle at low RPM but did recommend shifting as low as possible, so
I do.

One thing I worry about in this method -- I believe it is pretty hard on the
transmission to shift at higher RPMs. My thought was to go to idle only to
shift, and then bring the RPMs back up a bit to get away from the vibration.
For that reason I am hesitant to "lock in" the higher RPM. Am I worrying
too much?
