Scott - I ran a switch leg down from each light to the shelf under the lights - a his and hers switch.  I can show you at Rendezvous in a few weeks!

Since I can't ask about the pole, has anyone found another method to 
turn out those lights without getting out of bed?  A remote switch or 
something?
