[C320-list] Porthole Repair or Replacement Seals or Rebedding

Thanks for the advice Monte.

In addition to rebedding the portlights, did you find it necessary to
replace the hatch seals and latch o-rings?

Where did you locate those parts?

Thanks

Rick

Rick

Fought the it's the cam locks, it's the hatch seals, it's the o-rings
battle. Pull the portlights and rebed with Boatlife sealer (not silicone)
and the boat will dry up there at least. It's a 5 hour job and worth it.
Tape well and go forth with 2 people and screw gun in hand.

Help Please....

We got caught up in the Midwest storms last week and noticed that many of
our portholes were leaking at the lower regions of most porthole windows
either near the o-ring latch seals or from the lower portion of the rubber
window compression seals.

Does anyone have any info on replacement parts for the square portholes for
older 320s? Does anyone have any advice or tips for this repair or
replacement task?

I suspect that the fixture bedding is ok, but it may also be source of leaks
after 14 seasons. I suspect it is time to pay ahead for a dry boat.

Thanks.

FYI,

The hatch in the main salon on my C320 is a Lewmar. The forward cabin has a
Bowmar. Maybe other boats use Bowmar in both places?
