My Raw Water intake is a dedicated thru hull on the port side near my water
pump. The major problems one encounters with the A/C units is water flow. If
you always have good water flow ( dirty strainer, Barnacles in the hoses
ect.) the unit works great. You really should duct the air intake using
cooler air from inside the boat otherwise you are cooling hot air which
reduces efficiency. My Raw Water discharge is on the starboard side just
below the Bilge Pump discharge.

Nor really enough room on port side with the fridge unit and I don't want to
block access to climbing in to inspect or repair steering. I'm in Mass so
the heat is nothing like Texas so I was going to build a replacement hatch
and vent it (incase it turns out to be a really bad idea) non ducted
return. That way if it does not work I can duct it through to where I think
yours is. Did you use the floor drain through the stern for the outlet or
cut a new one in?

My drain is to the center of the stern from the starboard locker. Are you
not going to duct the return air? You are correct that the unit is very
noise by your head and the 320 next to me has it at the foot of the bead in
the port locker which is much quitter but more list and lost space. The duct
runs on a port installation are very short and would be more efficient if
you are in a hot climate like Texas.
