It's a module used like a 'sonar', it sees stuff under your boat and displays beautifully on the E-series plotters

They did on mine....Instead of the C80, I had them install a E120 and the
larger KW raydome. I also added a DSM Sounder Module along with a ST60
repeater at the nav station

On the purchase orders they have different options that are available for
factory installation

Is Catalina actually installing the equipment at the factory on those models
