Joe,

I know you said you checked the connections, but I had this exact problem
last season and after checking the connections for the second time--it
turned out to be a wire that went from one display to another--as I recall
it looked like the connection used for a fuse. Anyway, it was just loose
enough where it would be intermittent. I ended up using electrical tape to
keep it together and it has been fine ever since...good luck...

Subject: [C320-list] Flakey Depth Gauge Autohelm ST50

Hi
I have an ST50 Autohelm depth gauge that occasional will stop displaying.
Sometimes the Display gets very dim other times it will power off.
If I knock on the gauge several times it will come back to life.
Sometimes I have to do this quite frequently. Sometimes the gauge will
Run flawlessly. Seems in low water when I am most dependent it likes to act
up.

I do not think it's a transducer I think it might be a problem with
the display since wrapping the face it causes it to reset. I checked
all the connections and they look good. It is getting its power from
my Knot Gauge via the Seatalk cable.

Anyone have any suggestions. Can I get a new ST50 display?
Will the older Transducer work with new Head Display.
What other options do I have... Any Good Wireless Depth Gauges ?

Thank You
Joe
