[C320-list] generator storage safety

I have a 1000 and it tucks in nicely under the chart table where I can keep an eye on it. With the gas and vent off never even an order of fuel.

I was wondering if there was a safety issue with storing a gas fueled generator in the starboard locker as recommended on the list. It is a space open to the aft cabin and the bilge through the access door and limber holes. Couldn't fumes from a minor spill fill these areas? The main ac switch is in the space as are several other potential spark hazards. Seems a little dangerous to me. Probably just to cautious. Jim Brown "Desafinado"
