Bill

Great find that is exactly what is happening with my assembly since I
installed the Auto pilot.
The stud pushed in and I just used a self tapping screw to hold the
pod.... I Put some silicone over that old screw hole.
Hopefully if I remove the compass I can push the stud back through the
original hole.

Thanks
Joe

The new wheel drive is larger and I had to lower the motor instrument pod. In doing so there was a mounting screw sticking out of the pedestal that had a loose nut on it and somehow during the all of the swearing the screw disappeared. I used a self taping screw in place of the lost screw. After looking at the installation guide, I see that "lost screw" is actualy a stud that holds the cables for the for the throttle and gear. This explains why moving one lever affects the other. One step forward and two back.
