[C320-list] Exhaust

I've been smelling exhaust inside the boat. I sent the elbow off for some work, and after wards pressure tests say there is
no leak. Reinstalled but I still have the problem. Yesterday I took out the entire system, found some damage under the
clamps so I replaced the section between the elbow and the muffler. I cut off about 1 1/2 inches of the section going
out the back. One thing I discovered is the exhaust hose is two inches but the fitting on the back side of the muffler is
something less, probably 1 3/4. I reinstalled everything but I swear the smell is still there. Tomorrow I plan to install
a CO2 DETECTOR. Can the muffler fitting be brought up to 2 inches, and how would that be done? Or, can the 2 inch
hose be changed out to 1 3/4 without causing any problems. Has anyone dealt with this?
