[C320-list] Attaching jib sheets

Try putting the splice in the lazy end. If you've never switched them end
for end, then the lazy end has never been loaded. I once had a professional
rigger splice shackles onto spinnaker sheets that had only been loaded two
or three times and that was nearly impossible for him. Jib sheets have a far
greater load, so it's doubtful you'll be able to put an eye splice in the
working end.

Good luck. I've found it very hard to splice a line that has been used for
a season or more. You might try putting them through the washer before
trying.

Cow hitch seems like the way to go short of new continuous line. Maybe I'll
take the sheets home and splice an eye in one end as suggested. I like to
make projects more challenging if I can. Thanks, Karl

I use a cow hitch. Doesn't look very secure, but has yet to slip, even with
new line.
