[C320-list] Macerator

Darrell,

I also have a Jabsco and had to do this job the first year I had the boat.
Someone accidently hit the macerator switch instead of the water pressure.
My old boat had a spring loaded switch to prevent this. I did the job at the
boat and it wasn't bad at all. Take Pat's advice and fill the tank with
water and a little bleach and have it pumped. If the pump out guys aren't
busy and sympathetic ask them if they will wait for you to fill it with
water a second time and pump it out again. Just stuff some rags in the hoses
and cover with baggies while you work on the pump--it's easy to take apart
and Jabsco has the schematics on their web site if you don't have your
manual anymore. Once you get the pump off the job takes about 10
minutes--Good luck...

Hi John,

The shaft is turning, sounds like the impeller blades. I believe it is a
jabsco but I could be wrong. Not sure if I save more time taking the unit
apart on the boat or just removing the whole thing and taking it home. I
will try and find my receipt and see if is still under warranty,

Darrell
