Thanks.

I have spoken to the doyle sailmaker two harbors over. I think I will take your advice and bring him on the boat.

Thanks
Rick

Loose footed or not: personal choice for where you sail/race

Full Battens: Definitely

As I've said many times before, ask a sailmaker to come to your boat, talk to him about what type of sailing or racing you do, etc. Find a day to go out with him and sail the boat, these guys have tons of experience, use it.

Everyone on this list has a different opinion but it means very little unless they happen to race and sail in your area. Even then, I would still talk to a couple of sailmakers in your area.

If you still want some advice: look at UK Sails...I suggest a good quality dacron main (use the Dutchman if you want) and a Tape Drive jib/genoa...I never used a loose-footed main but I have seen some 320's use them and they are very competitive..

I just started PHRF racing my c320 in Western Long Island sound. I was
wondering if anyone can give me some advise on cruising/racing sails they
may have upgraded to?

I got some quotes from doyle but I am unsure what to go with. My main
questions have to do with the main

1. Loose footed or not?
2. Full battens or not?

I love and want to keep the dutchman and want to know if anyone has used it
on a loose footed main
