Should work depending on the water temp in your area.  Here in Milwaukee 
Lake Mich. is currently 61 and we might see 70 in late Aug.

Check other boats in your area to see what has been installed after market. 
OEM units tend to be over kill for us in the north.

What is the smallest (BTU) AC that any of you have installed.  I'm a mooring 
dweller from a northern latitudes (MA) and want it more for dehumidification 
than anything.  I need to run it from a small Honda gen set.  Was thinking 
about the mermaid m6 6500.
