We also got a "wave stopper" 3 years ago. It is easer to clean , coat of
wax in spring, plus it just works and looks better. We also have a snap on
vinyl drop down with windows an a zippered door for our winter sailing
here on Puget Sound. Your crew can stay on deck and be out of the cold.

Isn't this up to you and your wallet?
in my opinion, get a hard dodger and forget about cloth materials...I love
my 'WaveStopper'...pricey, but worth it...

I'm considering replacing my existing dodger. Any thoughts or
recommendations on material choices? One bid has options of: Standard
Sunbrella; Sunbrella Plus (add $200); Sunbrella Seamark (add $250); and
Sunbrella Supreme (add $350). For the windows it's either 40 guage
Isingglass (standard) or 40 gauge Strataglass (add $250). Thanks for any
input.
