Quick check. If you have power at the big post on the starter, you can
jumper the starter relay (small post) with a jumper wire and if the starter
engages, it is not the starter. Look upstream and I would start in the
instrument pod at the start switch and circuit. The odd combination of
working and not working in the engine instrument pod seems to point there
rather than the starter.

Hi Mike,

More than likely if your batteries are good it's the coonections.  Start at
the battery, starter, battery switch, etc.  If that not it check the little
wires for corrosion at the switch, starter button, starter, etc.
