[C320-list] Replace sheaves....getting end-cap off

    Just replaced some sheaves, rollers, and the masthead cover on my mast. I ordered the parts from Rig-Rite and then found I could have got them from American Riggging Supply for less than half the price of Rig-Rite so shop around

I am in the process of replacing sheaves, etc both ends of the boom. I have drilled out the 5 rivets ( aft end of boom) from the end cap......it still won't pull off.....oiled the small seam between cap and boom extrusion....no luck. Anyone get their boom opened up? Boat is 1987 freshwater. Charleston Boom and Mast

Mesh bags--very important...if you don't have them, Bed, Bath & Beyond

Thanks Orlando--they're off the boat for the winter so I figured instead 
of 
sitting in the dock box till spring I would get the salt and dirt 
off...I'll 
give the woolite a try...

Make sure you run a messenger line...then put them in a mesh bag with 
Woolite and some fabric softener...they come out like new... 

Do it once a year for your jib/genoa sheets if nothing else...
