[C320-list] Oil Drain Plug

Joe,

If the Yanmar has an oil drain plug I have never located it and I have owned
the boat since new. I use a small electric pump and pull the old oil out
through the dipstick hole. It can be a bit messy but beats paying the marina
$100.00 for an oil change. I change it every year which averages out to
every 80 hours and have seen no increase in oil consumption or other adverse
signs of oil breakdown. Holds 4 Qts. with the filter and I use Chevron RPM
Delo which is a premium diesel oil. Someone had a thread on cheap filters
but I use the Yanmar and don't try to save $2.00 on a fairly necessary and
expensive part of the package.

Subject: [C320-list] Oil Drain Plug

Hi
I am not at the boat so looking for some help
I have a Yanmar engine and need to change the oil.
Does this motor have a drain plug on the oil pan that I can reach ?
or Does the oil have to be sucked out ?
If it does have an oil plug is it possible to add a remote drain plug ?
Has anyone done this ?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Joe
