This link should answer the question for a KM2P transmission. I found this
and read the book after my marina's so called guru told me the transmission
should be serviced with 90wt. gear lube oil.

It's a multi vis oil made for diesels...every diesel truck owner I know
uses 15w40. I've been using it in my Chevy Duramax for many miles.

Not real sure if you want to use multi-vis oil in a diesel but if you've
had
success, keep going..
Every other diesel 'guru' I've ever spoken to or in reading about diesels,
specially Yanmars, they recommend 30W....same for the trans

I beg to differ...my Yanmar/C320 guru says to use 15w40 diesel oil in the
engine and straight 30w (for gas engines) in the transmission. I have been
doing that schedule (annually) for a number of years without problem.

Read the book. It contains the required fluid types, quantities and
change
intervals. That having been said, I believe that your hull # has a Kanzaki
trans. which takes .3 liters of the same oil the engine requires. The
engine
takes 2.6 qts. with a filter change.

Hi Karl,
Great article. Thank you for that.
The article refers to a winterization checklist on the association
website, but I can't find it on the website. Can you point me to it?
Thanks,
