[C320-list] anchor chain

We have 20' of chain and 485' of rode, however we have some pretty deep anchorages that are not well protected so a lot of scope is required.

Gents,

I just disposed of my primary anchor chain.  It was 100 ft. long!  So rusty the rust was clogging up the locker drain. I think the bow may have risen two inches as well when I removed it!  My secondary anchor chain is 25 ft.  What length is considered adequate for the primary?  I'm thinking 50 or 70ft.

My anchoring is infrequent and in protected sounds or tidal creeks in 20 ft. or less of water. Usually for lunch or the random overnight.
