Adam,

For a different boat I laid the rub rail out in the sun on backtop for a couple hours. Seemed to work for me.

Thank you very much. Very useful. Thankfully it is back to around 70
degrees with the wind over 15 knots. And, I will be thrilled to use a heat
gun. I was just referencing the weird weather of last week.

It was $2/ft and I did use 70'. There is also a UPS charge. The Catalina
material seemed to be unique - there was a different shape on the top and
bottom. You install it by placing the bottom of the strip into the trim and
then press in the top. I started at the stern and worked my way around.
Herein Michigan it required a heat gun, but that probably won't be required
if it is 95.

Do you happen to have a rough memory of the cost? Should have done it last
weekend. It was over 95 at the boat, not an ounce of wind, so we did
winches.

Thanks,

Adam

Adam - I ordered the rub rail from Catalina last year and I believe that it
was about 70' for our 320's. They will know. It took an afternoon to
install by using a heat gun and a small mallet. The key to easy
installation is to make sure that the rub rail is warm and flexible.

Sorry, I lost track of the thread.

What was the consensus on ordering a new rub rail? Was Catalina the best
bet (if so how much?) or were there other/better options?

Thanks,

Adam
