Jamie,
With patience I'll bet you can remove the existing lens and replace. It is usually fairly easy to cut the new one with a saber saw, router. Make sure you cover the new one with tape to prevent the tool from scratching it. The next par will probably be the hardest and that would be cauking the new one in place with out making it look like a 4th grader did it.

Subject: [C320-list] Bomar Hatch Help
Sent: Aug 3, 2009 6:35 PM

During a long weekend cruise we got caught by a few scattered showers. In his haste to close the Bomar salon hatch my son hauled it down while the hold- opens were still tightened to keep it in the venting position - he meant well, and the floggings will heal. (Just kidding).

The result - cracked acrylic across the left corner and through the dog, and as you might imagine the hatch now leaks.

So I need some advice - can the acrylic be replaced or just the upper half of the unit, or do I need a totally new hatch?

Also, does anyone know if Bomar can be reached directly ? I cannot seem to find them - is the parent company Pompanette ?

Finally, anyone upgraded to Seabreeze or any other hatch ?

Any input appreciated. Thanks.
