I spent two and a half years based in San Juan while in the Army in the
mid 70s. Kept a boat on Roosevelt Road NAS on the east side of the island.
Great sailing (all year!) to the small islands off the coast. Also spent
quite a bit of time in both St Thomas and St Croix.

Kevin, you are mentally deranged. There is no hope for you. Personally, I
prefer Winter sailing in the BVIs. The nice thing about bareboat chartering
is you walk on, sail, walk off. The charter co. will provision it for you,
have it ready, and clean it up for you.

For those who have not experienced the BVI's, it is a vacation you will not
forget. Pattie and I have done it twice, and will likely do it again.
Always
with a captain and cook. Just thinking about it makes me wistful. Why don't
we have a C320 Regatta there?
