I replaced the rub strip on Northwind last spring. I ordered about 70 feet
of material from Catalina and it came in a tight roll. The warmer it is,
the easier to apply. But here in Michigan I would have needed to wait until
mid summer for warm weather. So I bought a heat gun and worked the new
strip all the way around, starting at the port stern. As long as I could
get the rub strip hot, it was easy to install by inserting the bottom and
then using a mallet to tap in at the top. I used a screw at each end, since
there was one installed in the previous strip, but no glue. It wasn't too
bad a job.

Subject: [C320-list] Rub Rail Glue?
'Half of our port side rub rail came out of the slot during a sloppy
docking. It wants glue to stay back in the slot. What glue is suggested
for this? Is Silicone strong enough?
Thanks, Rollie #182 Punta Gorda, FL
