[C320-list] Whisker Pole

Tim - We went with the chocks on the stanchions for several years then
upgraded to mast-mount. The disadvantages of the chocks is that they do cut
down on the amount of space forward as the mounted pole takes up foredeck
space as it does not run flush against the stanchions and one has to handle
the entire pole when deploying, running the risk of the thing going
overboard. The advantage is when moving forward, one leg presses firmly
against the pole and increases the feeling of security while working on the
foredeck with the pole still in the chocks. But the advantages of the
mast-mount far outweigh any other method. The pole is completely out of the
way when not in use and when deploying, one end is always attached to the
boat, eliminating the chance of the pole going overboard and to the bottom.

Anyone have experience with one of these on their boats?

Seems that Forespar is the only option, but what about storing? On the
stancions or on the mast? Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Tim
