How much liquid would you fill a glass with?

There's no rocket science to this, fill it till you think it's just about right...

Not sure if you need a marine electrical book for this...

If it spills over, you've filled it too much...

Ok once again I have a simple battery question (ineed to buy a marine electrical book cause I am not knowledgeable at this point) 

it seems the acid in my batteries is low so I need to fill with regular distilled water correct?
Real question how much? To the top? A little lower than the top?
