Rick,
I just replaced the sanitation hoses on Silver Lining (hull 690) and the
job went fairly easily, especially using the advice from Warren Updike
that he gave as part of his larger holding tank project (see the upcoming
August Mainsheet).
After some research (try googling "head mistress peggy hall" or go here...
http://forums.sbo.sailboatowners.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31),
I chose the white Trident 102 hose going from the toilet to the tank (6')
and the black Trident 101 hose for the rest (8') which included going up
to the deck fitting. I also replaced the piece to the thruhull (be advised
this is a smaller diameter on my boat, 1").
I did not change out the vent tube however, as it is difficult for me to
access the back of the vent fitting without taking apart the medicine
cabinet and the two vented loops therein.
I was surprised to get a very good price on the hose from
SailboatOwners.com, usually they are a more expensive vendor.
Let me know back-channel if you want an advanced copy of the August
article.
