[C320-list] Messenger Line Query

I splice a reeving line onto the ends of all my halyards. For messenger, I
use high strength twine and tie the end of the twice to the reeving splice
on the halyard. There is virtually no chance of the line jumping the sheave
at the top of the mast or of duct tape, a oft-cited favorite technique,
jamming and coming apart. A picture of the reeving splice is out on the
C320 website in the Sea Shadow album.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [C320-list] Messenger Line Query
Hi folks,
I am thinking of cleaning my halyards and other lines/sheets before the
season here gets under way. What do people use for messenger line and
attaching it, a simple whipped loop attached to a finer line, then pull this
through? I haven't done this before and wondered what the easiest approach
was.
Cheers
Bernie
