While doing my first time oil, fuel filter change I had one of my diesel mechanics look over my shoulder watching my ten thumbs. While changing the oil through the dip stick routine we determined that there is a lot of room to work under the Yanmar oil pan. To make a long story short, next time you change oil, could consider removing the empty oil pan, take it to a machine shop and have the rear bottom of the pan (lowest point) drilled and tapped to install a 3/8" x 90 degree elbow with hose barb. Add a short 8" length of fuel hose with a LOCKING ball valve and cap at the end. USE DOUBLE hose clamps. Now to change oil. Attach a vacuum oil change can to valves hose coupling, unlock and open valve. Sit back and just keep enough vacuum in the can until you hear air coming into the can telling you the pan is empty and presto you have ALL the old oil. Close and lock valve. Have a paper towel for the couple of drops of oil that will drip from the valve.
Be careful when you remove the pan to make sure that the casket is not damaged. Carefully check it over and if it's ok you're in luck or you can replace it.
