I was also shocked at how few boats are in the water this year. Economy is really showing its wear on the sailing and boating industry.

Subject: [C320-list] A couple notes from Annapolis

Went to the show Friday this year. (Usually go on Monday when the crowds
are small and everyone is laid back.)  Less boats in the water this year;
about the same amount of vendors on shore. Good crowd.
Looked in the 36-39 range for giggles. Concluded as in previous years that
nothing would work as well for us as our current 320. Best possibilities
were the Tartan 3700 (pricey) and Barvaria 38 (though upon reflection there
were some deal-breaker design decisions on that boat).

Catalina only had 5 (?) boats in the water. Looked at the 320 to see
specifically what microwave they're using today (in case mine dies).
 Appears to be a Tappan TM5030S, which I believe is out of production.
 Maybe Catalina has an inventory they'll sell from for those who need a
replacement.

Got shunted into the head on the 320 by the crowd. Bumped my head (which I
do NOT do on our '99.) Feels like the new boats gave up a couple inches of
headroom in there. Surprising - the head is one of the best features on the
320 - better than many bigger boats.
