[C320-list] A couple notes from Annapolis

This years boat show did have a few brands missing, and a few more
Catalina's would have been great. The social scene is building, with get
togethers in September and January planned (according to the emails I have
received). To get on the mailing list contact Kerrin Ambrose
[kerrin at catalina.com.au].
Maybe an Australian website would help? If there was interest, the
Australian distributor could add a forum to his website - to share
information.

That's interesting since Gerry gave figures at one of the C320 annual events
that something like 1/4 of the 320s made go to australia. (I don't recall
the percentage just that I was so surprised by how many).

Can the assoc do something to help jumpstart some Aus 320 owners event? Is
there even any interest?

FWIW
Be gratefull that the USA Shows feature a strong Catalina presence.
At this Sydney International Boat Show... only one Catalina (not new C375)
was displayed.
The Catalina representation in Australia is abysmal and looks like getting
less so.
Jeanneau, Hanse, Bavaria, Beneteau, Hunter ... etc, etc ...all had many
more yachts in the show than did Catalina.
Hanse had 9 and Bavaria 5 with Beneteau 5 as well.
Bloody Shame.
Catalina produces better yachts but presents as something else (in
Australia) !?

Even the Catalina Social Scene is non existence.
