[C320-list] Front hatch high or low profile?

Sorry to say that my hull #62 hasn't experienced that and Warren has no clue
as to what type of Bomar hatch we have. There have been previous threads on
this issue. Check the archives or the Google C320 group.

Hi Nick,

Nice talking with you in Jamestown this summer.

I believe they are the low profile hatches but someone like Warren with one
of the more "experienced" hulls should confirm that.

While you're doing that, I suggest buying a roll of bomar hatch tape.
Unscrew the mounting frame from the outside, lift off the hatch, clean
off the putty that Catalina uses and use the adhesive mounting foam tape to
reseal the hatch.

Between that and the new gasket, that hatch won't leak anymore (unless the
dogs need new seals too).

While you're chasing leaks, snap off the plastic trim rings on the side
portlights and check that those screws are snug. Many of mine had backed
out from hull flexing I presume.

The foam hatch tape is really easy to work with.

Cheers.

I'm ordering some replacement parts (including a new gasket) for my 1993
front hatch.
Does anyone know if it is a Bowmar High profile or Low profile hatch?
