My B&G wind vane finally gave out after 8 years.

The source for a new one is: http://www.bandg-service.com/

I second the spider web theory.? We seem to have a bumper crop this year
and
there have been a lot of stuck wind vanes and mast head transducers.?
Usually? I
can break them loose in 10+ kt winds if I motor around in circles--both
directions.

Don't know if you have spiders in your area, but if so, they really do a job
of
holding the wind vane, but you cannot see the web!!!? We need to go up about

twice a season and remove the webs from the top of the mast.? Ken, #219,

Our B&G Wind Transmitter at the top of the mast is starting to stick a
little.
It broke free, but I was wondering if a little Silicone spray lubricant
might
help it out.? It has only happen once and it might be from all the fire (
smoke)

we are having here in Southern California.

Thanks John & Bobbi?? Holokai 2
