[C320-list] How do I re-bed lifeline stanchions?

I have a '97 C320 and it's time to re-bed the lifeline stanchions.

 

Does anyone know if they are bolted into retaining nuts set in the deck or
are they through bolted to backing nuts that I have to locate by taking
apart my interior?
